So, just to summarize, we are stuck to ubuntu 7.10? I would like to upgrade to 8.04 for many reasons, but to risk to find myself with the same problem as before is unacceptable.
Do you guys think situation will improve by the time of 8.10 ? Do you also find the following procedure suitable: 1) unplug 1 drive from RAID 1 2) update ubuntu from 7.10 to 8.04 with only one drive in the array 3) verify that everything works; if yes... 4) add the drive as spare and reassemble 5) No, upgrade is not good; then... 6) plug back the old drive and start the machine with that and reassemble the other as spare... Help? Suggestions?
