Binary package hint: update-manager
I was upgrading my Ubuntu system from Hardy to Intrepid. At the end of
the upgrade, the system reported that update-manager had not been
successfully upgraded, even though it did not report what the failure
was.
This may have had something to do with the fact that my samba-common
upgrade failed because I chose the experimental three-way-merge feature
to update the smb.conf configuration file but leaving my own changes in
there too. This fails due to a conflict while merging. I fixed it by
hand later on.
The system seems to have been upgraded correctly, though, so I'm not
sure why I got the update-manager package upgrade failure in the first
place.
