Public bug reported:

The router does not recognize the hostname of dhcp client.
The hostname command gives me the correct hostname.

I have to change the following in /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf: send host-name
"<hostname>";
must be changed into: send host-name "my hostname";
Everything works fine then, the router gets the correct hostname from the dhcp
client.
A lot of users share the same issues when using the routers DHCP-server
functionality.
Is there a way to correct this in future releases?

** Affects: dhcp3 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
