Public bug reported:
I'm using Ubuntu 13.10 dev with dnsmasq 2.66-4. Before installing
dnsmasq /etc/resolv.conf was generated with "nameserver 192.168.1.1"
from my dns-nameservers entry in /etc/networking. But after installing
dnsmasq I'm seeing only "nameserver 127.0.0.1" (even after restarting
the network). As I know dnsmasq will need both entries (with 127.0.0.1
first) to work as a dns server. But with the generated resolv.conf this
is difficult to achieve (interestingly on looking with Wireshark the dns
requests are still handled with 192.168.1.1 and nothing is handled with
127.0.0.1).
** Affects: dnsmasq (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
