Yolanda,

Thanks for the reply and suggestion. I ran the suggested commands in the
link subsequently:

<begin>
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
<end>

then

<begin>
sudo rm /var/lib/apt/lists/* -vf
sudo apt-get update
<end>

The sudo apt-get update ran without error. Last 2 lines from terminal
window below:

<begin>

<end>

I then ran; sudo apt-get install -f. It returned the following [error]
message(s):

I installed Twonky media server per instructions at the following link:
http://www.dickson.me.uk/2010/11/02/installing-twonkyserver-on-ubuntu-lucid-lunx-10-04-1/

Even though the instructions were written for Ubuntu 10.04 I figured the
distro had not changed that much. Twonky was working for several weeks
prior to the update errors. The music files I am attempting to stream are
located on the 2nd internal hard drive.

I also attempted to change the way my 2nd internal hard drive is mounted.
>From mounting when a user clicked on it (me) in Home folder to mounting at
system boot (all users, all the time available). I still have not got that
figured out. The update problem seemed started occurring after I tried
changing the hard drive mount. I backed out of everything I did here.

I'm thinking I need to re-install Ubuntu 12.04. Unfortunately I'm better at
Windows than Linux, this seems way over my head to debug.

Any additional ideas?

Thanks.  //mark breithart
