Would be great if the next Ubuntu LTS contained the latest upstream
branch 4.1 of Samba. It's available on Debian/sid.
2:4.0.13+dfsg-1ubuntu1 in trusty and 2:4.1.4+dfsg-3 in sid as of
writing.
