Same issue here. When charger is connected everything works great.... on battery totally disaster. OS is unusable. This is really BIG BIG PROBLEM for laptot users which today are almost everyone. - I have Ubuntu 12.04.4 32bit, Kernel 3.11.0-18-generic, AMD HD 6370M with proprietary drivers.
