Public bug reported: It seems like there is both an upstart config (/etc/init/mysql) and a systemv initscript (/etc/init.d/mysql) installed in this package. I guess the correct would be to let /etc/init.d/mysql be a symlink til /lib/init/upstart-job.
What's worse, "/etc/init.d/mysql stop" doesn't seem to kill the mysql- process. What's even worse, at one point we had two mysqld-processes running after executing "/etc/init.d/mysql start". I've verified that the upstart config works. ** Affects: mysql-5.5 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to mysql-5.5 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1317093 Title: duplicated init-script, systemv seems broken To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.5/+bug/1317093/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
