OK, this bug is about "net usershare info" returning an error by
default, resulting in nautilus-share spurious messages. You suggest
adding "usershare path = /var/lib/samba/usershares" to smb.conf.
However, in default installs, "net usershare info" returns exactly the
same error with or without that parameter set:

$ net usershare info
net usershare: cannot open usershare directory /var/lib/samba/usershares. Error 
No such file or directory
Please ask your system administrator to enable user sharing.

That's because the default value of usershare path happens to be 
/var/lib/samba/usershares already.
So again, I fail to see what this change would fix. Could you please explain it 
to me.
