OK, this bug is about "net usershare info" returning an error by default, resulting in nautilus-share spurious messages. You suggest adding "usershare path = /var/lib/samba/usershares" to smb.conf. However, in default installs, "net usershare info" returns exactly the same error with or without that parameter set:
$ net usershare info net usershare: cannot open usershare directory /var/lib/samba/usershares. Error No such file or directory Please ask your system administrator to enable user sharing. That's because the default value of usershare path happens to be /var/lib/samba/usershares already. So again, I fail to see what this change would fix. Could you please explain it to me. -- please set usershare path https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/357569 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
