When purging a package, you will be asked the following two questions:
* Deconfigure database for maas-region-controller with dbconfig-common?
You have to answer Yes
* Do you want to purge the database for maas-region-controller?
You have to answer Yes.
After which, you will see the following:
dbconfig-common: dumping pgsql database maasdb to
/var/tmp/maas-region-controller.maasdb.2015-01-29-12.46.pgsql.u0yCGb.
dbconfig-common: dropping pgsql database maasdb.
dropping database maasdb: success.
verifying database maasdb was dropped: success.
dbconfig-common: revoking privileges for user maas on maasdb.
revoking access to database maasdb from maas@localhost: success.
After this point, I reinstalled MAAS without any issues yields into a
new MAAS DB.
