Thank you for your report. Please note that docker.io 1.5 is backported to Trusty now and on its way to being recommended automatically to users in bug 1454719 (it's in trusty-proposed for testing).
I note that it didn't build on ppc64el due to go-md2man not being available, presumably for the same toolchain reason, and even if that weren't an issue then presumably the docker.io build would have failed for the same reason. It does mean though that there is little to do for the docker.io nor go- md2man packaging - this needs to be fixed (well, backported) in the toolchain first, so I'm reassigning the bug away from docker.io. <infinity> rbasak: And generic Ubuntu seems right, since it would require a gcc backport package or similar evil. It's not just a "please fix a bug in gcc" thing. Triagers: please leave this bug assigned to Ubuntu for now. ** Package changed: docker.io (Ubuntu) => ubuntu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to docker.io in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1453133 Title: [Ubuntu 14.04.3] Backport docker 1.5 to Ubuntu 14.04 on ppc64el To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1453133/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
