------- Comment From [email protected] 2015-07-28 09:53 EDT------- The parted-3.2 NEWS file provides the info: libparted: On multipath systems new partitions would sometimes not appear, reporting 'device-mapper: create ioctl failed: Device or resource busy' until the system was rebooted. Added dm_udev_wait calls to synchronize parted with udev. This refer to thread https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-parted/2010-09/msg00007.html pointing to a patch in libparted/arch/linux.c. Apparently that patch could be added to current patches adding the dm-* functionailities already available in current 2.3 version.
Could it be possible to validate the idea of just applying that udev_sync patch makes the difference ? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to multipath-tools in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1473903 Title: parted will generate two devices when adding one partition on mpath device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/multipath-tools/+bug/1473903/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
