The trace doesn't appear CIFS-specific.

As Steve French (CIFS maintainer in Linux kernel) explains in

we are in a corner case that can generate some timeouts, as the system
tries the best trade-off in dataloss/timeout/recovery-from-small-
outages. The bug here is if the repetition is without end, and iiuc you
cannot reproduce this anymore. What would be a regression would be if it
ever worked better in a previous release.

I'll mark it as Invalid for now, please reopen it (set it back to New)
if you can reproduce the "endless Write2" issue. I guess this would then
be re-filed under "linux" since it would most probably be an issue in
the CIFS layer in the kernel. Thanks !
