@vinc-q @jegr An upstream unmaintained code would be total no-go, but still having two versions of PHP in the main is a quite big burden for Ubuntu folks.
I could afford to run PPAs with multiple PHP versions, because I have the liberty of saying: "upstream bug, bummer" and do nothing about it if I don't have time or motivation to fix it. That's the freedom Ubuntu folks don't have, so I am at their side. Just look at the PHP bug lists (both in Debian and Ubuntu). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to php5 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1522422 Title: Update to php 7.0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php5/+bug/1522422/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
