Public bug reported: My wireless adapter fails to connect after applying updates this morning. Network manager associates with the network correctly, but fails to receive an ip address. Investigating from the terminal, I can manually assign a network address and then connect to the network, but running "sudo dhclient wlan0" fails with an error:
Open a socket for LPF: Operation not permitted. Disabling apparmor via "sudo /etc/init.d/apparmor stop" makes things work properly again. ** Affects: apparmor (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed ** Affects: dhcp3 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [karmic] dhcp fails with wireless link under 2.6.31-5-generic #24 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/408779 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to dhcp3 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
