Unfortunately we will need more data about what is going on, and what
you have installed.
For starters, there is no samba version in this bug report, nor in which
Ubuntu release it happened.
I suggest to run the following tool to attach information to this bug:
apport-collect -p samba 1818495
Preemptively, please also attach:
- /etc/samba/smb.conf
- logs from /var/log/samba/log*
