It says that your ldap database cannot be opened... There is a debconf option that says:
"Do you want the database to be removed when slapd is purged?" I wonder if you had that enabled before the upgrade. During slapd upgrade, it asks to create a backup of /var/lib/slapd: (c)rafaeldtinoco@focal:/var/lib/ldap$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure -p low slapd Backing up /etc/ldap/slapd.d in /var/backups/slapd-2.4.49+dfsg-2ubuntu1.2... done. Moving old database directory to /var/backups: - directory unknown... done. Creating initial configuration... done. Creating LDAP directory... done. Do you have anything under /var/backups/* named '*slapd*' ? ** Changed in: openldap (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server, which is subscribed to openldap in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1878945 Title: crash slapd after update To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openldap/+bug/1878945/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
