Got the same problem as Ryan Reynolds, trick from http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1377395 did its work : run this one from php-gtk directory $ cat /usr/share/aclocal/ltoptions.m4 /usr/share/aclocal/ltversion.m4 /usr/share/aclocal/ltsugar.m4 /usr/share/aclocal/lt~obsolete.m4 >> aclocal.m4 after that run ./buildconf and etc.
