Public bug reported: Binary package hint: postfix
I can't recall the error in great detail, however as I was doing the Ubuntu Upgrades or Package Manager that pops up periodically it installed everything except postfix. It had problems doing so. I was presented with I think a password or e-mail request form at one point but since i use hotmail.com I chose to hit cancel to the request box. And another popped up but I forget what it asked me to enter and I cancelled that too then it just stays as an uninstalled program now in my package manager/updater John Dunn [email protected] ProblemType: Package Architecture: i386 Date: Thu Feb 18 00:04:26 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ErrorMessage: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.5) NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: postfix (not installed) ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-19.56-generic SourcePackage: postfix Title: package postfix (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1 Uname: Linux 2.6.31-19-generic i686 ** Affects: postfix (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-package i386 -- package postfix (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/523862 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to postfix in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
