Hi thanks for taking the time to test this. I am starting it as part of a script to tunnel a nx session through a firewall -L XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:XXXXX.
The commands are actually irrelevant for the bug as all I need to do to reproduce this is type alt+F2 then: ssh usern...@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx The gui does not accept my password (I have tried many times with the correct one). If I replace ssh-askpass-gnome with ssh-askpass it works fine. If I run the command from the terminal it works fine. "Also, are you using the real ssh-agent, or some inferior substitute (e.g. gnome-keyring-daemon)?" I have openssh clientside and the serverside is a firewall if this is what you mean.... -- Lucid: Recent update to ssh mean ssh-askpass-gnome fails to recognize the correct password https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/535123 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openssh in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
