Looking at the dpkg log, I see that all update requests (since the
beginning of the log, at 2010-03-01) failed for MySQL. I also see the
following lines:
/usr/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Access denied for user 'debian-sys-maint'@'localhost' (using password:
YES)'
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/mysql-server-5.0_5.1.30really5.0.75-0ubuntu10.3_i386.deb
So. Did you disable, delete, or change the password for the 'debian-sys-
ma...@localhost' MySQL userid?
