Public bug reported:

I got into this problem after tried to install kvm:

sudo aptitude install kvm libvirt-bin ubuntu-vm-builder bridge-utils
(https://help.ubuntu.com/community/KVM/Installation)

After which point, the system hang and I had to reboot. Unfortunately,
package manager has messed up since. Failing at g++ oost installation
tasks.

I tried few methods as suggested on related forums e.g reinstall,
uninstall etc - but no luck.

Bug #273748 is pretty similar to what I have encountered here (except
the module/return code).

I am raising this from crash report based on command 'sudo apt-get
remove -f '
