Public bug reported: Binary package hint: tomcat6
Reproduction steps: 1. Install tomcat6 package 2. Start the service by running "ssh -t localhost sudo service tomcat6 start" If you're watching closely, it appears that catalina.sh runs, the service boots up enough to log to /var/log/tomcat6/catalina.out, and then promptly dies, leaving the PID file around in /var/run/tomcat6.pid. Starting normally (through a plain shell or ssh -T) appears to work normally. ** Affects: tomcat6 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: tomcat6 (Debian) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: tomcat6 (Debian) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Init script fails to start when run via ssh with pty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/588481 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to tomcat6 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
