I can't reproduce that. Running "sudo /etc/init.d/tomcat6 stop" will successfully shutdown tomcat6 here. Double-check that you really reload the page and you don't hit Firefox cache. If the bug is still there, please run:
$ sudo /etc/init.d/tomcat6 start $ ps -ef | grep tomcat6 $ sudo /etc/init.d/tomcat6 stop $ ps -ef | grep tomcat6 $ cat /var/run/tomcat6.pid and post the output. ** Changed in: tomcat6 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: tomcat6 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- tomcat6 will not shutdown in Ubuntu 10.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/597445 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to tomcat6 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
