It looks (from your DpkgTerminalLog.txt) like /dev/pts was not set
up inside your chroot.  Can you enter the chroot and do

        mount -t devpts devpts /dev/pts
        chmod 666 /dev/pts/ptmx
        mount --bind /dev/pts/ptmx /dev/ptmx
