Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: whois
When whois is build locally it will conflicts with mkpasswd because the
.mo files are not stripped out:
$ sudo dpkg -i /var/cache/pbuilder/result//mkpasswd_5.0.5ubuntu1_amd64.deb
(Reading database ... 326590 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking mkpasswd (from .../mkpasswd_5.0.5ubuntu1_amd64.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing
/var/cache/pbuilder/result//mkpasswd_5.0.5ubuntu1_amd64.deb (--install):
trying to overwrite '/usr/share/locale/pt_BR/LC_MESSAGES/whois.mo', which is
also in package whois 5.0.5ubuntu1
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/pbuilder/result//mkpasswd_5.0.5ubuntu1_amd64.deb
