Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: samba

Initial problem was my cifs fstab mounts all of the sudden stopped
working immediately on bootup; Exit with error 32 on mountall.

Was working fine until today. They still mount, eventually, but slow
down my login to gnome by an appreciable amount.

Contents of my fstab:

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.

# Use 'blkid -o value -s UUID' to print the universally unique identifier
# for a device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name
# devices that works even if disks are added and removed. See fstab(5).

I then ran update-manager and a few samba packages were marked for updates, so
I ran it thinking it might solve my problem.
Exited with the following errors:
E: samba-common: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error
exit status 1
E: samba-common-bin: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
E: samba: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
E: smbclient: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
E: smbfs: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

I then restarted the computer, went into package manager to grab another
package, installed it and got the errors above again, although the other
package installed fine.
