So I"m not quite sure what to do with this bug. It will prevent libvirt from starting VMs only if the user has somehow played with cgroups. Perhaps the thing to do is to find a way to provide a more meaningful error message when this particular error occurs.
I'm reclassifying this bug as being against libvirt, as it is not actually a bug in virt-manager itself. ** Package changed: virt-manager (Ubuntu) => libvirt (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: libvirt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: libvirt (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to libvirt in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/676472 Title: after upgrade from ubuntu 10.04 to 10.10, virt-manager could not create or start a vm. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
