DRBD is included in the mainline kernel as of 2.6.33, this failure is
likely due to the fact the module is being built against a kernel that
already includes DRBD.

Edward- Without installing drbd8-source, does 'modprobe drbd' succeed?
If so, you no longer need the drbd8-source package to be built and
installed and only need the userspace utilities. The drbd8-utils should
work for you, but its better to have a userspace version that matches
the kernel components or you'll see noisy errors and may run into
unsupported features.
