DRBD is included in the mainline kernel as of 2.6.33, this failure is likely due to the fact the module is being built against a kernel that already includes DRBD.
Edward- Without installing drbd8-source, does 'modprobe drbd' succeed? If so, you no longer need the drbd8-source package to be built and installed and only need the userspace utilities. The drbd8-utils should work for you, but its better to have a userspace version that matches the kernel components or you'll see noisy errors and may run into unsupported features. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to drbd8 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/799630 Title: package drbd8-source 2:8.3.7-1ubuntu2.1 failed to install/upgrade: drbd8 kernel module failed to build To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/drbd8/+bug/799630/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
