Thanks for reporting this bug. Extract from the log: Preparing to replace eucalyptus-common 2.0.1+bzr1256-0ubuntu4 (using .../eucalyptus-common_2.0.1+bzr1256-0ubuntu4.1_i386.deb) ... invoke-rc.d: unknown initscript, /etc/init.d/eucalyptus not found. dpkg: warning: subprocess old pre-removal script returned error exit status 100 dpkg - trying script from the new package instead ... invoke-rc.d: unknown initscript, /etc/init.d/eucalyptus not found.
This would seem to indicate the upstart / init.d script has been removed outside the installation, which is not something the package can reasonably handle. Therefore marking in invalid. If this is not the case, please add a comment. Thanks. ** Changed in: eucalyptus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to eucalyptus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/801535 Title: package eucalyptus-common 2.0.1 bzr1256-0ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 100 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/eucalyptus/+bug/801535/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
