the error that it brings up says package samba 2:3.5.8~dfsg-1ubuntu2.3 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 so I would assume that it has something to do with samba4. Ive resolved this situation by finding my old (and dusty) 9.10 CD and upgrading to that in which I will upgrade back to 10.04LTS and sit until 12.04 comes out. then very cautiously look at that one before installing it
