@Jamie, I assumed that your advise to not modify the .files profile directly was because this file is regenerated on the VM startup. I have attached a patch to have virt-aa-helper add the required rule to the /etc/apparmor.d/libvirt/libvirt-<UUID>.files. Let me know if that's not the correct/best way to handle this. Thank you.
