Thank you very much for submitting this bug report.

Looks like for some reason the package php5-common wasn't installed or
it's not showing on your "PHPInstalledModules.txt" file.

If you don't mind I'd need you to check that the package is installed,
it is a dependency for libapache2-mod-php5 and the error it's giving
means that this package wasn't installed before trying to install
libapache2-mod-php5.

Can you try to run "apt-get -f install" and see what does it say? If the
error persists could you please provide the full apt-get log and mark
the bug again as "New" so it can be reviewed.

Title:
  package libapache2-mod-php5 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.1 failed to
  install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script
  returned error exit status 1 Installed Apache2, mysql-server, php5 and
  phpmyadmin. PHP didn't work so I tried installing apache2-mod-php5
