I run git 1:1.7.9.5-1 in precise. This might be a bug in git or
etckeeper which I use to keep track of the /etc/ directory. Here's what
I did as root:
# cd /etc/
# git commit NetworkManager/
The commit message being pulled up looked like everything was fine,
indicating that the .etckeeper file was changed but not included in the
commit. When I checked the commit subsequently with "git whatchanged" I
learned that the .etckeeper file had been included.
** Affects: etckeeper (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Invalid
** Tags: precise

"git commit NetworkManager/" also includes .etckeeper file
