Hello, > 2. keep help.ubuntu.com/Community full of How-To's that have been vetted by > someone from the Server Team
Recently some work has been done with regards to implementing this spec: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HelpWikiQualityAssurance I think that will go a long way to providing a means to ensure the quality of the community wiki. Here's the link to the recent thread started by Mathias: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-doc/2007-October/009678.html > One of things we also discussed is increasing communications between the > Server Team and the Documentation Team to make sure the guides on both > help.ubuntu.com/Community and the ServerGuide are both accurate and up to > date. > I've copied the server team so they can add to the discussion as well and also > if there is someone from the Server Team who is willing to be a point to help > increase the communication between the server team and the documentation > team. > I'm still relatively new to the community, started getting involved about halfway in the Gutsy cycle, so I'm not sure I'd be the best candidate for the number one point man. I'd love to help out wherever possible in this regard though. I believe one of the best places for Linux adoption is in the small to medium business market, and great documentation is the first step in convincing admins to switch to or implement Linux (specifically Ubuntu :-). If they have success setting up one service say an Apache web server for example, I think they'll be more likely to try an Open Source solution for other services. Anyway, it was really great to listen in to the session today, thanks to all who enabled the audio feeds and attended. -- Party On, Adam -- ubuntu-server mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server More info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam
