In the midst of trying to upgrade a Dell Poweredge server from gentoo to Ubuntu 8.04, we have hit a problem with the scsi raid controller. Essentially, the installation goes fine, but the system will not boot due to scsi timeout errors. It seems to be a more severe variation of this:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/249964 Same error messasges, but the system completely hangs. Does anyone know of a) a workaround or fix for 8.04 or b) any version of Ubuntu that might work with this controller. Thx. -- Hal -- ubuntu-server mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server More info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam
