Hi, I've been installing OMSA, mpt-status and lsiutils on my Ubuntu 8.04.4LTS servers. On most server the install went with no issues and I can run the commands to check the status of my HW Raid. But on 4 servers so far I am unable to start dataeng because of the following Starting System Management Device Driver Starting ipmi drivers * - that RED asterisk implies an problem, when I check the syslog, kern.log and messages they all have the following error ipmi_devintf: Unknown symbol compat_alloc_user_space I issue sudo modprobe ipmi_devintf and I get FATAL: Error inserting ipmi_devintf (/lib/modules/2.6.24-28-server/kernel/drivers/char/ipmi/ipmi_devintf.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg) It seems to fail to add the module the strangest thing is that I have installed on other servers with the exact same kernel, I've also got in installed on server with Kernel version .6.24-27-server & .6.24-24-server. The four servers causing the problem so far are all 2.6.24-28-server --
