The natty cycle was quite productive in terms of user namespace work. The overall development plan is at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UserNamespace. For the Oneiric cycle I think a reasonable goal is to complete the conversion of all capable() and uid comparisons to do appropriate user namespace comparisons, and the ability for a full filesystem to be owned by a user namespace. If things go well, we may also start uid mapping - which would just about complete the kernel part of user namespace.
