Hi, I was checking TODO bugs today. Quite a lot needed a little nudge or an explanation to help inexperienced users.
Also two long term bugs came up (180 days not touched). But those were just forgotten to get updated. One is fixed quite a while ago already and the other one was fixed-upstream (we are upstream) and just needs an upload now. I've pinged the bugs - no further action required on them. Worth to mention in detail are: mysql - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-8.0/+bug/1864958 I mention this one as it is the third of the same kind. Eventually it is a dup to the general bug 1612517 which is about "old custom config won't auto-upgrade". I explained on the bugs and marked them as duplicated. But for general awareness I wanted to raise that NO_AUTO_CREATE_USER is no more supported in sql_mode. php7.2 - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php7.2/+bug/1905109 This already came up recently, and Byce re-engaged with the reporter. The problem is that we need community to describe the coming impact better - yet the reporter found and seems happy with an alternate avoidance. If anyone knows details about "session.cookie_samesite=None" causing trouble with Chrome 80+ please head there and add some details - will be much appreciated. samba - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+bug/1872476 This is a bit odd, the bug was handled and fixed and confirmed to be fixed. But now pops up again - I wonder if there are multiple underlying issues and we might only have fixed one of them. I have requested more details on the bug and would ask Sergio to take another look just to be sure. -- Christian Ehrhardt Staff Engineer, Ubuntu Server Canonical Ltd -- ubuntu-server mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server More info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam
