Based on the blender situation I had a strong opinion against compiz by default in the previous release. Now I think it should go on because the situation is half fixed and on its way to completely.
I prefer users complaining about blender window not wobbling than complaining about the whole desktop not being composited. Which if well configured, enhacens the functionality of the desktop.
