On the french portal http://linuxmao.org , they use Xubuntu as a base, and some common documentations on how to setup Vanilla Ubuntu for multimedia production, merged in a howto "setup Xubuntu for multimedia production". I have well contributed to that howto. And most users feedback is good, they are happy with it, allowing them to produce their stuff on old or light laptop/dektop/workstation. Toine > >
