But as you mentioned before, some basics should be all right OOTB, e.g. > The text colour and the background colour of a lot of text boxes end > up being the same... unreadable. It's often the same for scrollbars, when distros ship with dark themes. I also wonder why it became common to ship with the double-click setting, instead of the old faithful Linux single-click setting. Btw. I'm a long time Linux user too, but since I need to use one new DE after the other, since KDE3 was killed by KDE4 and now GNOME2 is killed by GNOME3, it's time consuming to get all the information I need for a new desktop. E.g. how can I enable to use the mouse cursor to change from one workspace to another? What's about the possibility to safe window sizes and positions etc.? What's about freedesktop issues when using several DEs? E.G. will there be more than one wastebasket on one of the used DEs? There are tons of issues when installing an unknown DE, even for experienced users. Before I care about a flashy theme, I car about usability. +2 Ralf -- Ubuntu-Studio-devel mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-devel
