The new menu package works fine in Cinnamon. I tested it both with the main Cinnamon menu applet and with a better-performing alternate menu applet I normally use. The UbuntuStudio menus come up fine either way.
Your menu package now goes into all my production machines as well as the partition I am using to work towards a Cinnamon meta for US-thanks!
