This email triggered me big time, in a good way. There is no way i will passively watch ubuntu studio sink. But I never really felt like a leader type of person. So i consulted my family and close friends, and their consensus is that it is an opportunity i should grab. Obviously, i understand that there is a voting process and i'm aware of the steps i need to take. But because i'm lacking skills in Debian packaging and knowledge of the Debian Policy, me stepping up isn't very much of a solution. But i thought it would be good to put this information out there, so that anyone feeling appropriate for the task of being project lead knows that he/she wont be alone. In the very plausible situation, where the community wouldn't find me to be an appropriate project-leader, i will however dedicate myself to documentation- and PR-team. As team-leader or not.
