devede is no longer a part of the ubuntu repos being old and suffering

is any good getting it there would be a first step.
devedeng is already in the archive (Debian and Ubuntu), confusingly
keeping the old devede name. See changelog for 4.3-1:
https://packages.qa.debian.org/d/devede/news/20151107T153503Z.html
Even more confusing is that:
https://apps.ubuntu.com/cat/applications/devede/
says the last version is in 13.10 and:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/devede
shows versions beyond that :P
Bombono has been suggested to me and is available in our repos. I have

Bombono-dvd is in Ubuntu, an attempt was made to get it into Debian, but
it seems to have stalled for some reason. Alessio was maintaining it,
but I know he is very busy these days. So if we want to seed it, we
would probably have to start maintaining it ourselves, or try and finish
getting it into the Debian Multimedia Team.
Gaa.
There are some other potentials on this page (but it takes some sifting
through):
http://blends.debian.org/multimedia/tasks/video
Basically the same info there. devede looks like the the best choice at
this point. (best as in at least it seems includable)
