Whoops - found this email just now. I think Len thought we were public
when he asked if anyone had good things to say about denemo.
Anybody had good/bad experience with denemo?
Personally, I have used Musescore only, and I like it (have nothing to
complain about).

Are you sure Ardour "needs" libaubio5? Ardour 5.8 and for that matter latest
git builds just fine on ubuntu 16.04. From ./waf configure
Checking for 'aubio' >= 0.3.2 : yes
Checking for 'aubio' >= 0.4.0 : yes
Doesn't even check for 5. Maybe the dependency for libaubio5 in Ardour needs to
be relaxed and it can be migrated to newer libs when everything else is.
Thanks Len for pushing on this. I woke up and found ardour, aubio,
denemo all moved from proposed to release, and pd-aubio rebuilt!
Good stuff! After looking at denemo, I am wondering if we should include
it in STudio. If there is someone who actually does transcribing sheet
music I would like to hear from them if they feel this is better than
other options. I think we currently ship musescore.
