Ubuntu Studio Developers:
I recently switch to Ubuntu Studio and I LOVE it! I record my music on it, and
host my DJ shows on it.
I am writing to suggest you add OpenKJ to the preinstalled packages that comes
with Ubuntu Studio. I am very pleased with OpenKJ and prefer it over KaraFun,
Hoster, and many other windows based programs I've experienced, and it deserves
more usage.
When I'm hosting a show, I run OpenKJ and Mixxx simultaneously and fade (audio)
from one to the other seemlessly.
Also, if I were you, I'd include an .mp4 in a conspicuous place on new installs
that will introduce and walk through the OS. A playlist starting with desktop
customization, walking through all the included packages, and ending up at How
To Use Ardour, would be a convenient relatable usable chuck of data, make the
user experience more pleasant short and long-term, and save y'all a ton of
support contact.
Or, by now in our collective technological adventure, maybe an LLM that is a
highly trained specialist on everything Ubuntu Studio might even take up less
room and be more helpful through projects than mp4s.
Food for thought.
So, thanks for making and collecting excellent software, and thanks for
considering my feedback.
