Are you amused because you're expecting the month first? Date conventions vary
from region to region. Much of the world uses DD/MM/YY or DD/MM/YYYY. That's
why you get a choice when you install.
In Thailand it's now 13/10/2550, AFAIK. Don't know if there is a Thai
transation in the works for Ubuntu Studio. But Linux is pretty big there.
