Make sure to check the md5 hash when you down load the disc image. I had a
similar problem, the first time where it would hang when trying to install
the base system. It turned out that the image I had downloaded was corrupt.
The md5 sum for the feisty distro can be found here
http://download.linuxaudio.org/ubuntustudio/, I couldn't find it for the
Gutsy release.
