Hi there! Seems like you don't want the "key composing" feature. If you want to type ´ and get ´ with only one move, then you should disable "key composing" on your "keyboard preferences". But you will be unable to easily type the composed characters á é í ó ú à è ì ò ù ä ë ï ö ü ã õ ñ... If this feature means nothing to you at all, this is all up to you.
But Luis is right, you should know the actual single quote is not the ´ key, but the ' (mine is left from #1, I use a brazilian keyboard layout). Cheers! Fernando M.
